Iron On Application Guide
1. Prepare the Decal
Your order will arrive already attached to a transfer sheet. Simply place it onto the garment in the correct position, ensuring the design is facing the right direction and lying flat against the fabric.
2. Set the Iron Temperature
Turn off the steam setting on your iron and adjust the heat to between 160°C and 200°C.
If the iron is not hot enough, the vinyl may not bond correctly. Excessive heat can damage or melt the design, so check the temperature carefully before applying.
3. Apply Heat
Place greaseproof or protective paper over the decal before ironing. Apply firm pressure in short bursts of approximately 5 seconds at a time, carefully checking the design after each press.
Repeat until the vinyl is fully adhered to the garment.
4. Remove the Transfer Film
Carefully peel away the transfer sheet once the decal has bonded to the fabric. If any part lifts, place the sheet back down and apply additional heat before trying again.
5. One Final Press
After removing the transfer layer, cover the design again with protective paper and press for a final 5 seconds to secure the decal.
6. Aftercare & Multi-Layer Designs
Allow the garment to rest for 24 hours before washing so the adhesive can fully cure.
For decals with multiple colours or layers, repeat the application process for each additional layer until the design is complete.
